Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) provide state agencies a shared and centrally
managed WLAN infrastructure. WLAN is a wireless network within a limited area consisting
of one or more wireless Access Points that provide network connectivity for wireless
nodes. WLANs provide high speed data communication in small areas such as a building
or an office. It allows users to move around in a confined area while they are still
connected to the network.
